THANK YOU FOR YOUR REQUEST

As guests approach the check-in desk, they are greeted by dim lighting, dark textured walls, and a large painting of a plump aristocrat. But the real deal is the hotel’s café-brasserie, opening onto a charming terrace. And, as if all of this wasn’t enough, the inn also offers a cocktail bar and astonishing postcard views over the city with its paved stoned roads and typical Parisian roofs, which make the Providence a proper destination.
Upstairs, the 18 rooms of the 1854 Haussmannien building have been individually decorated by interior designer Sophie Richard and her best friend Elodie Moussié, in the past December 2015, with designer fabric and tastefully chosen vintage furniture. The hotel now offers its guests a lot more than its history, it also offers outstanding interiors.
Setting a contemporary guest experience out of a speakeasy aesthetic, Sophie Richard found in these matching armchairs and sofas, the perfect elements to reinvent the Parisian boutique hotel. The rooms, including a suite occupying the attic floor, also feature dark-colored vintage woodwork and antique headboards that really emphasize the tradition of Paris’ upper-class Haussmannian apartments.
In this world-class hotel, modern eclecticism meets obvious glamour in the interiors, mixing the best of a native family home with the charm of an English cottage. The decor exemplifies a traditional Parisian atmosphere with its gorgeous fireplace, architectural details, Pointe de Hongrie wooden floors, and marble mosaics.
Most accommodations have flowery velvet wallpapers, warm hues and hypnotic tropical patterns, Art Deco lighting fixtures, large brass coffee tables, and velvet armchairs and two-seat sofas, subtle in their forms.
Although for some people the rooms may be considered limited in size (as most Paris rooms are), the layouts, fixtures, and attention to detail are superb, clean, pleasant, charming. The bathrooms are surprisingly generous in size and, overall, very inviting with the calm white tiles and porcelain, glass shower walls, and oversized sink. All in all, these are only some of the many reasons to fall in love with the Providence Hotel. You will find many more, though, while staying there, that’s for sure.
